The Holiday Train Show at Grand Central

A train runs past a replica of Grand Central Terminal and other buildings.

If you like trains, you'll probably enjoy checking out the Holiday Train Show at the Transit Museum Store inside Grand Central Terminal. There's a lot to see. The miniature tracks run on three levels; there are subway cars, commuter trains, & freight trains that rumble past skyscrapers and into mountain tunnels. The trains stop at stations with tiny people waiting on platforms.

If you're not into trains, you might still admire the exhibit, which includes a small replica of Grand Central Terminal and the Empire State Building. The city streets have cars and buses and pedestrians on the sidewalks. If you crouch down and look through the plexiglas, you'll see underground subway stations with commuters patiently waiting for their trains.
