How well do you know NYC?

If you ride the New York City subway, you're most likely familiar with this map, but how well do you know this city?
Take our quick quiz below and see how much of a New Yorker you've become!

New York Language Center students spend varying amounts of time in New York. Some are here for as little as 2 weeks or less, while others stay in New York for a year or longer.

If you've been in town for a while or if you've been here before, you probably know some basic facts about New York City. Of course, this is a good thing as the more you know the city, the more you'll enjoy it and get the most out of your stay here.

So how well do you know this town? Take this quick quiz and see. If you ace it, you can call yourself a New Yorker! Well, at least that's what we think. :-)

Explore NYC in Central Park

The angel on top of the Bethesda fountain got a lot of negative reviews when it was
first unveiled to honor Union soldiers who died in the Civil War.
It's now a favorite NYC landmark. We love it, too.

It was a cloudy day. We had our umbrellas ready; rain was in the forecast. The humidity was 90 percent. We missed the Alice in Wonderland sculpture. Joe, the teacher, completely forgot! Can you believe that? We were pooped and hungry and sweating at the end of our walk. Nevertheless, it was nice, enjoyable, and dare we say, fun! We should be writing and posting our thoughts soon at NYLC's student writing blog. Stop by and check it out soon!

We've explored; we've written; we've posted!

Our thoughts and observations on the West Village are now online. Do you have a few minutes to read a few short articles? Click on over to NYLC's Student Writing blog and check out what we saw and how we felt about our walk through this historic, ecclectic, and quiet (at 2pm) neighborhood.
