June is here! This means we are only a few weeks away from summer! Although the first week of June started with some rain and chilly weather, do not panic; the heat will soon have you wishing it were fall!
Our June activities have commenced! Sadly our first activity had to be canceled due to the nonstop rain, but all our other activities are still on! This month, we bring you lots of summer fun, from the Bronx Zoo to Citi Field in Flushing! Here are some highlights!

Saturday, June 20, we will be visiting the Statue of Liberty. This is a must-see when you are in New York City! The Statue of Liberty is located on Liberty Island close to Ellis Island, which was the gateway for millions of immigrants from 1892 to 1954. Come join us as we take you through a historical time lapse!
On June 25, we will be having a picnic in Central Park to welcome the summer! There will be lots of fun games and food. Join teachers and staff, as well as your fellow students on this fun day!
June 26 is T-shirt day at The Mets! We will be watching the Mets play the Cincinatti Reds. Baseball is America's favorite pastime in the summer. You cannot visit New York without visiting one of our famous ballparks. Get your tickets early because they sell out fast!
Remember all are welcome to our activities. Just make sure to sign up with the person-in-charge of activities at your NYLC location.
