Vocabulary exercise with "SHAPE" & "WEIGHT"



A: Combine the words on the left with either SHAPE or WEIGHT and fill in the blanks. The answers are below, under section B.

Ted and Sally thought they would (1)_______ during vacation as they planned on trying a lot of new exotic dishes. However, with all the walking that they did, they actually (2)________. Everyone who saw them soon after they got back were surprised at how skinny they both had gotten. In fact, Sally was just skin and bones and looked dangerously (3)_______. "Did they starve themselves?" people wondered.
