A famous Bollywood movie (with English subtitles) was filmed RIGHT HERE
last summer, and now it is out in theatres! Join us to watch the story of a
woman who comes to New York City to learn English. You might find her story is
also your story!
“The film is shot mostly in New York
and captures the inherent struggle of many people all over the world with the
English Language. It is hilarious, touching, and sensitive.”
Meet Stephen at the Midtown NYLC (10th floor, 226 West 37th
Street, between 7th and 8th Avenues) at 3:15.
From there, we’ll take the N/Q/R train
to Union Square and walk to the AMC Loews Theatre at 66 3rd Ave. The movie
starts at 4:20 and is about 2 hours long.
I just saw this film and indeed it captures the spirit of what its like to be a non-English speaker in NY as well as the courage and determinaton needed to change that.
ReplyDeleteWe are happy that NYLC was chosen as the school the protagonist attends in NY.
See the movie, it is funny, uplifting, and a large part takes place in our school.
